Kratos himself, or rather the voice behind him, Christopher Judge, recently stirred up the God of War community with talk of an upcoming announcement. However, it turns out there’s no God of War news on the horizon.
Can you believe it’s already been a couple of years since God of War Ragnarok hit the shelves? Naturally, fans are itching for any hint of what’s next from Santa Monica Studio. Although there’s been radio silence on official announcements, Kratos actor Christopher Judge recently hosted an Instagram live session that sent fans’ speculation into overdrive. He hinted that the following weeks would be packed with announcements, teasing a significant reveal on December 1. “The next two weeks are gonna be chock-full of announcements and all kinds of good stuff,” Judge mentioned, adding, “December 1st, we will be making a major announcement – which I can’t wait to do ’cause a lot of you asked me: ‘What’s coming next?'”
Unsurprisingly, gamers quickly jumped to the conclusion that a God of War reveal might be in the works, even though Judge didn’t explicitly name the game. When the dust settled, it became clear that the upcoming announcements had nothing to do with God of War. Judge took to Twitter to clear things up, responding to the swirling rumors. “Absolutely not true! You can’t tease something you know nothing about,” he emphasized in his tweet. “I will be making announcements in the near future, I can guarantee none of them will be about OUR beloved God of War. I am awaiting updates just like everyone else.”
So, for those holding their breath for Kratos news—sadly, you’ll have to hang tight a bit longer. There are announcements on the horizon involving Judge, but they have no connection to our favorite godly warrior. Fans of Judge, in general, have something to look forward to, but God of War enthusiasts might need to hit that replay button in the meantime. Sorry folks, that’s just the way the axe swings.
