Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has shifted its release date once again, this time settling on February 4, 2025, moving up a week from its previous February 11 schedule.
In August, this medieval adventure, focusing on a seemingly inept swordfighter who gets into more trouble than he can handle, announced its delay to February 11. Now, the game surprisingly lands on an earlier date than expected, managing to be both delayed and ahead of schedule simultaneously—a rather remarkable situation.
The update came from Warhorse Studios via a tweet and an accompanying video, where Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the studio’s global PR manager, addressed the date change. In his own words, “it is what it is,” he also revealed that a fresh story trailer for the game is set to debut today, December 5.
Stolz-Zwilling continued with some promising news: “KCD2 is also gold now.” So what does this mean? Simply put, the game is nearly ready, currently undergoing the final tweaks and bug fixes—music to the ears of those eagerly following the game on Steam.
In the announcement, Warhorse Studios excitedly tweeted: “Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will arrive at your homes on FEBRUARY 4TH 2025! ⚔️” Alongside this news, they hinted at more exciting updates to come in the days ahead, particularly noting the launch of the new story trailer today.
Moreover, Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that the game’s specs for PC and consoles will be released today. Adding to the delight of console players, KCD2 will come with PS5 Pro enhancements, alongside offering quality and performance modes for the Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
Connor’s preview of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 back in the summer described it as “similar to the first game, but of a higher quality,” highlighting improvements in visuals and gameplay. “There’s more to do and more ways to do it,” he remarked, expressing optimism about the game’s quality and potential.
Are you excited to dive into this adventure when it launches on February 4 next year? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
