Update from December 13th: We’re excited to let you know that after a fruitful round of testing with our Insiders, the Support Virtual Agent is now available for all players across the United States. A huge thank you goes out to all our Insiders who participated, providing invaluable feedback to refine this new feature.
So, what exactly is the Support Virtual Agent? It’s a nifty AI-driven tool designed to help Xbox users more effectively troubleshoot their gaming hiccups. Starting today, a select group of Xbox Insiders can give it a whirl on support.xbox.com. The agent is capable of quickly pulling relevant information from the site to tackle support queries concerning Xbox consoles and games. If you’re an Xbox Insider based in the U.S. and prefer to communicate in English, you can start previewing this feature by logging into your account on support.xbox.com.
Your input during this preview phase is immensely appreciated, and any insights you provide will be crucial for enhancing the Support Virtual Agent. After each interaction, you’ll have the opportunity to rate the response with a simple thumbs up or thumbs down. Alternatively, you can leave more detailed feedback through the “Give feedback” button found at the bottom of the page.
Now, how does one go about using this Support Virtual Agent? From today, Xbox Insiders will notice it on the “Contact us” page of support.xbox.com. You’ll need to sign in using the account linked to your Xbox Insider registration. Once that’s done, you’ll find a new option inviting you to pose your questions to the Support Virtual Agent.
After you’ve clicked “Ask a question,” you’ll see the agent pop up in a different browser window. You’ll be able to chat with the agent using either text or voice commands. It will respond with information sourced from support.xbox.com. If it turns out that your issue requires more personalized attention, you can opt to talk with a live support agent, provided it’s during Xbox Support’s regular hours.
During this trial period, there’s also an option to tailor your support experience. By clicking on the ellipsis menu icon, you can choose between two different versions of the Support Virtual Agent.

It’s best to contribute to existing threads that match your topic before starting a new one. This approach ensures we can support you in the most effective way possible.
