Today marks the release of “Alien: Rogue Incursion” on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, with fans eagerly awaiting its arrival on Quest, expected in February next year. Meanwhile, Survios, the game’s developer, has already set its sights on crafting ‘Part Two’ of this Xenomorph-filled horror-shooter saga.
Having dived into Part One, we scored it a commendable 7 out of 10 in our full review. The game’s gripping atmosphere and compelling storyline impressed us, even though the enemy encounters felt a bit repetitive and the save system was notably unforgiving.
Despite these minor gripes, the first installment stands robust on its own, offering about eight hours of gameplay packed with relentless Xenomorph action and a narrative that hooks you in. However, it sets the stage perfectly for what’s to come in Part Two.
While details about the sequel remain under wraps, it’s clear that we can look forward to more than just battling the same old Xenomorphs. Survios promises that Part Two will “continue Zula’s story, pitting her against tougher foes and presenting new challenges,” and they’ve confirmed development is well underway.
Before all that, though, the highly anticipated Quest release of Part One is on the horizon, launching exclusively on Quest 3/3S on February 13, 2025. The developers faced a complex task of fitting such a dynamic game, with all its rich textures and interactive physics, onto the Quest 3’s mobile platform—perhaps explaining the delay.
Nevertheless, with the foundational elements firmly in place from Part One, we’re optimistic for a swift follow-up, as Zula Hendricks embarks on what might be her ultimate showdown against the ferocious Xenomorphs threatening to overrun the rogue science station.
