Sony has introduced a new set of PS Plus Premium discount offers for January 2025. As is often the case, these discounts are personalized and not available to everyone. The amount of the discount and the expiration date can differ from one member to another, and there doesn’t seem to be any specific criteria determining who gets the offers.
PS Plus Members: Grab Those Discounts Quick!
Over the past week, we’ve observed several reports from PS Plus Premium users enjoying up to 25% off when renewing their yearly subscription—knocking the price down from $160 to $120. This suggests that the deal is likely available only to current subscribers. We also noticed that those receiving the discount were close to the end of their existing subscription periods, so it seems that members who have already let their subscriptions lapse might not qualify.
Interestingly, one user found they could stack their savings using the 25% discount, which certainly adds extra value. At this point, though, we haven’t come across similar discount offers being extended to other subscription tiers.
Our best advice for our readers is to take advantage of these discounts the moment they show up on the PS App or via the console’s PS Store. We’ve already witnessed a couple of instances where users, offered a discount valid until January 31, 2025, reported the deal vanished before they could claim it just a few days later.
It’s unclear why these offers are disappearing so suddenly, but to avoid missing out, we recommend regularly checking your subscription page.
