Marvel Rivals is set to kick off its Spring Festival event, bringing with it a slew of new content including a game mode, complimentary rewards, and fresh cosmetics. This marks the second major limited-time event following the recent Winter Celebration, which delighted fans with a complimentary Jeff the Land Shark skin.
As Marvel Rivals ventures into the early stages of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, it has already expanded its lineup with the likes of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Eager fans are buzzing with anticipation for the mid-season update that will see Human Torch and The Thing join the ranks. Speculations abound about the next possible heroes, especially after a teaser showed Blade taking on Dracula. Yet, it appears that participants will get a chance to momentarily set aside these battles to engage in lighthearted fun during the upcoming festival.
Announced by NetEase Games, the Spring Festival event in Marvel Rivals will feature a temporary game mode known as Clash of Dancing Lions. This new inclusion seems to draw inspiration from soccer, with competing teams aiming to score by maneuvering a ball across a field. Alongside this will be fresh event skins, including new looks for Black Widow, Iron Fist, and Star-Lord. While specifics remain sparse, there’s the exciting opportunity to obtain the Star-Lord costume at no cost, plus additional rewards such as a nameplate.
The event, starting January 23, will not only allow players to earn free cosmetics but also offer the chance to create personalized Gallery Cards, reminiscent of the holiday cards from the Winter Celebration event featuring Jeff the Land Shark.
Since its launch, NetEase Games has been diligently enriching Marvel Rivals with new content at a brisk pace. Staying true to this commitment, the developers plan to keep the community engaged by introducing a new hero every six weeks. Although the identities of future heroes remain a mystery, leaks suggest that characters like Cyclops, Deadpool, and Ultron may soon enter the fray. With so much in the pipeline, fans have ample reason to be excited about the future of this beloved hero shooter.
