Although a specific release date hasn’t been provided, fans can anticipate the launch of the Xbox racing favorite on PS5 sometime in the spring.
In an exciting development, Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 5 is the next Xbox exclusive set to debut on the PS5. The task of adapting the game for this new platform is being handled by Panic Button, working alongside Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. Mark your calendars for spring 2025, as this is when PS5 gamers can expect to get their hands on it.
Playground Games expressed their enthusiasm in a blog post, saying, “The Horizon Festival is excited to welcome a brand-new community of players. With nearly 900 cars, over 40 themed game updates, two expansions, and a vast array of content, we’re thrilled to share that this spring, PlayStation 5 players will have the chance to navigate the stunning roads of Mexico and experience the Horizon Festival firsthand when Forza Horizon 5 officially launches on PS5.”
The development of the PS5 version, as mentioned, is being helmed by Panic Button in coordination with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. This port will include all the content found in the Xbox version, and players can also look forward to purchasing the thrilling expansions, Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, along with all previously released car packs.
Moreover, Playground Games has some exciting plans with a “special new free content update for all platforms” called Horizon Realms. This update promises to deliver a handpicked selection of much-loved Evolving Worlds from the community, plus a few extra surprises.
