Recently, the gaming community was abuzz with whispers that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 might soon make its way to the PS5. A few industry insiders hinted at this possibility, though they admitted uncertainty about whether the PlayStation version of the Xbox exclusive would be revealed during the recent State of Play. Despite the lack of confirmation about Ninja Theory’s latest gem arriving on Sony’s new console, yet another insider has stirred the rumor pot, possibly hinting at when we might see this anticipated title.
In a recent post on BlueSky, Tom Warren from The Verge tantalized gamers by suggesting that April is set to be a promising month for PS5 fans. He kept it vague, leaving much to the imagination, but ongoing chatter in the community suggests Hellblade 2 could be slated for that time.
Just a few days ago, industry tipsters Jez Corden and NateTheHate further fanned the flames. Corden mentioned that a PS5 version of Hellblade 2 is “pretty soon” to be released, according to his sources. NateTheHate backed this up with a playful reply, sharing an image of Senua next to a PS5 with the caption, “Soon… very soon.”
Of course, “soon” leaves a lot of room for interpretation—it could mean anything from the next day to months away. It might mean April, or it might not. Given these are just educated guesses, we’ll have to be patient until Ninja Theory decides to break their silence on the PS5 release of their acclaimed Xbox title.
Interestingly, Warren’s mysterious BlueSky post came just before the State of Play event, possibly hinting at a game announcement. With the showcase over, one game did indeed come out with an April release date: Days Gone Remastered. This continues Sony’s trend of revamping its gaming catalog, with the updated Bend Studio title launching on April 25.
