PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have something special to look forward to this year. On the horizon are four games that will enhance the service’s Game Catalog perk once they make their debut. Among these is Remedy Entertainment’s multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, which has recently announced a new release window set for summer 2025.
FBC: Firebreak transports players to The Oldest House, the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, famously featured in the hit action game Control. This time, Remedy Entertainment is pivoting from their usual narrative-driven stories to focus more on the gameplay aspects. They aim to create a live-service game, doing so without leaning on the fear of missing out (FOMO) tactics that have become so common in the genre. The approach is simple—all content is freely available and designed for players to enjoy at their own speed.
The latest trailer for FBC: Firebreak gives us a glimpse into the Paper Chase Job, one of the missions players will tackle. In this mission, the Firebreak Initiative faces the challenge of clearing out an area in The Oldest House, which is bizarrely overrun with rogue sticky notes. The trailer also highlights the loadouts that players can use to fend off the persistent Hiss threat.
When FBC: Firebreak hits the shelves, it’ll be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the Epic Games Store and Steam.
As per our earlier mention, this is just one web of four games you’ll find in the Game Catalog during launch time. Alongside FBC: Firebreak, there’s Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. The first segment of Lost Records is already live for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, with its continuation expected to drop next month.
Moreover, PS Plus members are also offered early access to some fantastic bargains with the PS Store’s Spring Sale. Right now, subscribers can scoop up great deals on titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
