Exclusive ‘Star Wars’ Mixed Reality Game ‘Beyond Victory’ Launches on Quest 3 & 3S

In an exciting announcement, ILM and Lucasfilm have revealed plans for a new immersive game titled Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A Mixed Reality Playset. This thrilling addition to the Star Wars gaming universe will be exclusively available on Meta Quest 3 and 3S, and it promises a captivating experience set around the era of the Han Solo prequel, Solo: A Star Wars Story from 2018.

Although specific details are still under wraps, fans can look forward to some adrenaline-pumping podracing action. According to ILM, players will have the opportunity to encounter the podracer "Volo Bolus" while teaming up with the famous racer Sebulba. This mixed reality adventure is sure to get hearts racing and engines roaring.

The term ‘Playset’ suggests that we might see a variety of MR mini-games included, though ILM has yet to confirm any specifics beyond their initial teaser. Historically, ILM has taken a steady approach to unveiling details of its XR games, gradually introducing characters and elements of the game as launch day approaches. As of now, the release date and trailer are still under wraps.

However, anticipation is building with the promise of exclusive first looks at the ‘Star Wars Celebration 2025’ in Tokyo, Japan, scheduled for April 18-20. Those attending will get hands-on experience with the game across more than twelve demo stations. Meta also plans to showcase demo versions of previous VR hits like Vader Immortal and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.
