Industry Direct by Kit Navock
Hi there! I’m Kit Navock, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Chief Marketing Officer at Immersed. Not too long ago, I sold my own company and found myself at a crossroads, like many founders do after an acquisition. I was evaluating my next steps, seeking the kind of work and people I wanted to align with. My journey led me here, to Immersed, because I truly resonate with their vision. And now, for those who share in that vision, there’s an opportunity to get onboard as an investor before we pick up even more speed. But let me tell you how all this came to be.
I’ve been keeping an eye on Immersed for quite some time. Years ago, I invested in them early on and gradually got to know the team through casual meetups like movie nights and dinner conversations. I even ended up recruiting someone from their circle into my previous business. My initial curiosity eventually blossomed into profound respect. This team isn’t just smart—they’re incredible people. They’re driven, humble, and committed to their mission.
A couple of months back, I texted Renji, the founder of Immersed, with some basketball tidbits. His response was unexpected yet enticing: “You should come work with us.”
It wasn’t an easy decision. Honestly, I took his call more as a courtesy. Even though I’ve known Renji for a while, his persuasion would be hard for anyone to resist. His suggestion lingered with me. I mulled it over for days and reached out to my trusted circle of friends and mentors. I explained my current situation: living the good life, doing consulting part-time, and easing back after a company sale. Yet, this opportunity felt unique.
Everyone I consulted with said the same thing: Go for it.
I accepted a lower salary than I’ve had in years, with equity that might not materialize quickly. But I wasn’t after a quick buck. I believed in both the people and the potential for something monumental. And once I experienced what they’re building firsthand, I was truly amazed. Everything just made sense.
Visor: The XR Device That Shouldn’t Exist, But Does
I have to admit, I’m relatively new to the world of XR. While I’ve always been interested in tech, I didn’t dive into AR/VR with sensors and experimental builds back in 2016. I’m more of an everyday user. I bought an Apple Vision Pro out of sheer curiosity for spatial computing.
It worked well enough, boosting my productivity and focus. But then I tried the Visor, Immersed’s own headset, and it was a revelation.
Weighing about 186g—lighter than my phone—it resembles chunky sunglasses and functions independently with its dual 4K micro-OLED displays and a 3-hour battery life. More importantly, it’s crafted for genuine productivity tools like VS Code, Figma, email, Blender, terminals, tabs, and Netflix. It doesn’t come across as an accessory to my computer; it feels essential.
It’s not a devkit. It’s not a mere toy or a hefty gadget with a staggering price. It just effortlessly integrates into a typical workday.
Even as a newcomer, I can see this isn’t merely a prototype. This is the first headset that made me think, “This is primed for everyone to embrace.”
From App to Platform (and AI Co-Pilot)
If you’ve used Immersed, you’re familiar with its standing as the world’s most used AR/VR productivity app. It enables multi-monitor workspaces, seamless streaming, and real-time collaboration across devices, with millions of users working in XR for real tasks.
With the launch of Visor, we’re elevating from an app to a complete spatial computing platform—a new operating system optimized for concentration, deep tasks, and native 3D interfaces, unlike a mere collection of 2D screens. This approach echoes how Steve Jobs envisioned Apple, fostering an entire ecosystem.
The defining feature for me is Curator AI—a seamless co-pilot that aligns with work flows, minimizes context shifts, and quietly enhances productivity. It’s not an add-on; it’s integral to the platform. It’s what many hoped Siri would evolve into—and hasn’t.
Plus, with Immersed, Visor, and Curator AI, we’re transitioning beyond language models to tangible interactions. Thanks to its OpenXR compatibility, developers can innovate, creating tools, agents, or even full applications.
It’s more than transplanting a desktop to 3D. It’s about building spatial productivity, with AI as a core component from the start. It’s designed for creators.
Why This Matters Now
My decision to join Immersed wasn’t to merely talk about virtual screens or avatars. I’m here because I am convinced spatial computing is set to redefine our lifestyles and work. The convergence of immersive settings, native tools, and AI that’s always there is a significant leap. And it’s closer to reality than many anticipate. The team at Immersed holds the vision, technology, and teamwork to bring this to life. That’s what drew me in.
This isn’t solely for tech enthusiasts. Immersed is crafting solutions for engineers, designers, traders, artists, founders, and filmmakers—anyone working on screens. And as AI progresses and humanoid robotics develop, the significance of a reliable, immersive spatial platform will only grow.
Visor surpasses being just a headset. Immersed surpasses a simple VR work setup. Curator surpasses a typical AI. Together, they create an ecosystem for achievement and growth.
We’re eager to share this innovation with you all.
If you’ve anticipated the right headset—and the visionary company behind it—now’s your moment to join. Help us make spatial computing accessible to everyone.
