Apple’s suite of AI tools, known as Apple Intelligence, has been making waves on iOS and Mac for a while now. Excitingly, it’s set to debut on Vision Pro this April with the public launch of visionOS 2.4. But if you’re the curious type and have developer mode turned on, you can get an early hands-on experience right now.
As you might guess, this update means Vision Pro is about to get packed with all the latest AI-driven features. We’re talking about writing tools and AI-generated images, to smart replies and natural language searches in Photos. It’s basically an enhancement of everything iOS and Mac users have enjoyed since it first rolled out in October. The magic of Vision Pro lies in its robust voice and hand-based text input, making these features even more dynamic and intuitive.
On top of that, expect an upgrade to Guest User mode. This enhancement will allow Vision Pro users to share their experiences more seamlessly with others nearby who have an iPhone or iPad. This is a welcomed improvement, easing the often tricky “tap here, no, the other icon” scenario we all know too well when demonstrating XR headsets.
And there’s more. The update introduces the Spatial Gallery—a curated collection featuring spatial photos, videos, and panoramas sourced from creative minds around the world. Upon its release, the Spatial Gallery will be available to users in countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, and several others, all the way to the U.S.
Moreover, Vision Pro will soon offer deeper integration with iOS. Once visionOS 2.4 launches, users will be able to manage app and game downloads, explore spatial content, and access device details through a new iOS app specifically tailored for the Vision Pro, which is expected to be part of iOS 18.4.
Currently, these updates are only available in U.S. English. However, Apple plans to roll out additional languages and features throughout the year. Although the precise release date for the general public hasn’t been pinned down beyond April, developers can already dive into the beta version of visionOS 2.4. To join the developer beta, head over to Settings > Privacy & Security, locate “Developer Mode,” and reboot your Vision Pro to get started.
