The much-anticipated celestial adventure is back, and players are in for a treat! From February 4 at 10 a.m. until February 18 at 10 a.m. PST, both Seasonal and Eternal Realms can revel in the enchanting Lunar Awakening event. Shrines of Sanctuary are being mysteriously empowered, believed by many to be a blessing from the Ancestors commemorating this festive time.

Activating any Shrine in Sanctuary, including Nahantu, will grant players a 100% multiplicative experience bonus for two minutes, in addition to increased power. Plus, you’ll be accumulating Ancestral Favor Reputation along the way.

To dive into the festivities, head over to Ked Bardu and visit the northern part of town. There, you’ll find Ying-Yue, who runs the bustling Lunar Night Market. This is the heart of the celebration where you can trade your Ancestral Favor Reputation for Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors caches and delightful Lunar Renewal-themed items.

Scattered across Sanctuary are the Lunar Shrines. Be prepared to make your way through dungeons and explore the wilderness, all while activating these shrines and defeating monsters to earn a generous amount of Ancestral Favor Reputation.

Lunar Shrines are buzzing with magical energies bestowed by the spirits of ancestors. For the duration of Lunar Awakening, all shrines have transformed into Lunar Shrines, each providing a 100% experience boost when activated. Their appearance has been tweaked to celebrate the year of the snake and they feature a distinct icon on the map, making them easy to spot.

These shrines not only enhance your powers but also offer additional unique benefits:

1. Artillery Shrine – Spells have a chance to summon a holy bomb.
2. Blast Wave Shrine – Generates a cluster bombardment with each explosion.
3. Channeling Shrine – Boosts attack speed and increases the chance of a cooldown reset.
4. Conduit Shrine – Unleashes frequent, powerful electric strikes.
5. Greed Shrine – Spawns Treasure Goblins with each kill while active.
6. Lethal Shrine – Provides a chance to execute monsters instantly, causing Fear in nearby foes. This applies to Elites but excludes Bosses and other Players.
7. Protection Shrine – Reflects all incoming damage, which scales with your Level and Difficulty.

Awaken Miserly Spirits on activation to further capitalize on the shrine’s powers, giving your gameplay a unique edge.

Players have a total of 10 Ancestral Favor Reputation Levels to conquer, which offer rewards like the Resplendent Spark, as well as six distinct Lunar-themed cosmetic items, including the new Trag’Oul’s Consort mount. Once you’ve climbed through the reputation levels, you’ll continue to reap rewards with Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors.
