Just yesterday, Sony revealed December 2024’s PS Plus games lineup, a moment that ties in with PlayStation’s big 30th anniversary celebration. However, many gamers think the selection could have been more exciting. Among next month’s Essential titles is a game previously pulled from PS Plus Extra earlier this year, meaning plenty of subscribers may have recently given it a go.
On to what some fans are saying: they believe the offered games don’t quite live up to what you’d expect for such a significant milestone. In December 2024, PS Plus subscribers can look forward to getting their hands on It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem. To note, It Takes Two made an appearance in PS Plus Extra not too long ago, before it was taken down earlier this year.
Feedback gathered from the PS Blog, assorted gaming forums, and social media platforms reveals that players aren’t outright complaining about the games themselves. Instead, the consensus is that the lineup feels a bit lackluster given the big anniversary occasion.
One subscriber expressed their disappointment saying, “This feels like one of the most unenthusiastic attempts at marking an anniversary, especially a 30th.” Another chimed in, “I felt compelled to comment today as this is just lackluster. I’m not usually one to grumble on blogs, but this really misses the mark.”
While the complete lineup for PS Plus Extra and Premium for December 2024 hasn’t been revealed, Premium members have something to look forward to with promises of three well-loved classics and an exclusive game trial.
