Customize Components
Once you’ve selected your controller, Xbox Design Lab offers 10 different customization options, allowing you to create a truly unique design. If you find it daunting, don’t worry—you can preview your controller anytime and save designs to a personal gallery for comparison.
Body
Your choice of Body covers the entire front case and makes a strong statement. With the Xbox Wireless Controller, you can select from matte finishes or a variety of patterns like Vapor, Shift, Camo, Pride, or game-specific designs, such as those inspired by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 or Fallout. For the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, options include matte finishes and our new Cipher series, which features a transparent case for a look into the inner components.
Back
The Back covers everything behind the grips. You can match it with the front or opt for a two-tone look using the same color choices offered for the Body.
Grips
For an additional fee, add rubberized grips to the back and sides of your Xbox Wireless Controller for better control. The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 features rubberized grips as standard.
Bumpers
Bumpers connect the two top buttons on the controller. On the Xbox Wireless Controller, choose from available colors for the Body and Back. The Elite Series 2 offers various metallic finishes for a premium touch.
Triggers
Triggers play a crucial role in many games, and you have several options here. The Xbox Wireless Controller provides standard color selections and metallic options for a distinctive look. On the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, you can pick from metallic designs that harmonize with the bumpers or standout colors for contrast.
D-Pad
On the Xbox Wireless Controller, standard and metallic color options are available, while the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 offers both classic four-direction and Faceted designs, along with metallic and multi-toned Chroma finishes.
Thumbsticks
For the Xbox Wireless Controller, thumbsticks can match any standard colors. The Elite Series 2 lets you customize the color of the metal base and different colors for the thumbstick ring and topper.
ABXY Buttons
Choose from seven designs for the iconic buttons on the Xbox Wireless Controller, ranging from classic to two-tone styles. The Elite Series 2 provides 20 options, including various color treatments for a more customized look.
View, Menu, and Share Buttons
The Xbox Wireless Controller offers five design options for these buttons, while the Elite Series 2 boasts 24 color choices.
Engraving
Add a personal touch with a 16-character engraving option on both controller types. Whether it’s a name, Gamertag, or message, this feature makes the controller unmistakably yours.

Customize the Carrying Case and Charging Pack for on-the-go safety, or opt for the Paddle, Thumbsticks, and D-Pad Pack for added versatility. The Everything Pack includes all these extras in one. If you own an Elite Series 2 already, you can purchase the accessory packs separately.
Adaptive Thumbstick Toppers
In collaboration with the community and organizations focused on adaptive gaming, Xbox Design Lab offers downloadable 3D printable files for adaptive thumbstick toppers. These can be 3D printed to cater to various accessibility needs for both the Xbox Wireless Controller and the Elite Series 2. Additionally, designs are available for the forthcoming Xbox Adaptive Joystick, set to launch in early 2025.
