Have you been eagerly waiting to dive into “Dune Awakening”? If you’re tired of just hearing about it, I’ve got some great news for you. You’ll soon have the chance to play, thanks to a free open beta weekend happening from May 9 to May 12.
To join in, you can wishlist the game before May 9 and try your luck, or snag one of the many beta codes the team will be distributing over the weekend. It’s “open” but with a twist—only those with access. Think of it as the door being slightly open, a semi-open opportunity.
Interestingly, this beta comes just before the original release date of May 15, which has been pushed back to give Funcom some extra time to polish things up for the official launch.
During the beta, you’ll get to explore the first two regions—which can offer roughly 20 hours of gameplay if you really dig in. Experience a few Research Facilities, try out early abilities across different classes, and engage in some PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a solid glimpse into what’s to come. And if you’re curious about our experience, check out our new preview of “Dune Awakening,” which covers this exact part of the game.
Excited to get your hands on the beta? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so feel free to share below!
