At last, we’re diving into the RetroActive take on Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It’s time to explore the gameplay, take in the music, admire the art, delve into the quirky plot, and of course, tackle those puzzles. As we celebrate the DS on its 20th anniversary, our goal for this RetroActive was not only to honor this milestone but also to ensure we delivered an episode in 2024.
And, mission accomplished.
Now, just a heads-up: we recorded this episode back on December 19, so if there have been any significant developments in the meantime, we weren’t able to include them.
We hope you’re enjoying the holiday festivities, and we look forward to hanging out again in 2025.

Special thanks go to James Jones for editing this episode. Our catchy "Men of Leisure" theme music was crafted just for Radio Free Nintendo by Perry Burkum, and you can check out more of his work on SoundCloud. The creative genius behind the Radio Free Nintendo logo is Connor Strickland, and you can see more of his projects on his website.
To wrap up this episode, we leave you with the "End Theme (Live Recording Version)" from Professor Layton and the Curious Village, composed by Tomohito Nishiura and chosen by Greg. All rights are held by LEVEL-5 Inc.
