Patch Notes for Freedom Wars Remastered Update Version 1.4.0
Bug Fixes
-
Unresponsiveness in Multiplayer Lobby: Before this update, a bug left some players frozen in the online multiplayer lobby if anyone else joined after they had marked themselves as READY. That’s been sorted out now.
-
Screen Freezing in Private Rooms: If you were hosting in a private room and canceled the match process, it occasionally froze the guest’s screen. This pesky issue is no longer a problem.
-
Operation Start Circle: There was an annoying glitch where more than one player interacting with the Contribution Start Circle in Co-op could mess up everyone’s ability to set themselves as READY. Consider it fixed!
-
Incorrect Item Drops: Items that weren’t supposed to drop from defeated enemies sometimes did. The devs have fixed this so only the right items appear now.
-
No Reinforcements in Contribution Missions: Multiplayer gamers found themselves stuck when enemy reinforcements failed to appear. This fix should ensure your missions can be completed as intended.
-
Inaccessibility Due to Natalia’s Scene: Some players encountered a screen darkening issue during a scene with Natalia, which halted game progress. It’s been addressed in this update.
-
Repeating Operations: Some operations refused to disappear from the Contribution list, letting players repeat them endlessly. Problem solved!
-
Augmentation Equipping Bug: An oversight allowed players to exceed the cost limit when equipping augmentations. Now, if you do, the game will auto-unequip the excess.
-
Invisibility of "Great Criminal" Icon: This icon should now be visible to all players, as a bug was causing it not to show up.
-
City-State Status and Ranking Board Updates: After a panopticon transfer, the city-state status and ranking board should now update correctly.
- Ally Behavior Fix: Allies sometimes acted erratically while carrying citizens during contributions. Their behavior has been corrected.
And there are plenty of other bug fixes included!
Adjustments and Changes
-
GDPP Value Update: The GDPP value for delivering specific items has seen some modifications.
-
Thorn Gauge Consumption Changes: When reviving a character nearby, the Thorn Gauge won’t be used up. However, if you’re shooting from a distance, just like before, it will still consume the gauge.
-
Citizen Carry Mechanics: While carrying citizens during contributions, the staggering when hitting obstacles has been reduced.
-
Heavy Melee Weapons Adjustment: The hitbox for Heavy Melee weapons like [Mimas] and [Caliburn] now accurately reflects their visuals, fixing any disjointed attacks.
-
Power Attack with Thorn Connection: When performing a power attack connected to Thorn, it should now result in a normal attack that can charge instead of an unexpected special attack. This also severs the Thorn connection for all weapons.
-
Chat Availability: After completing contributions, you’ll now be able to chat as you await the results screen.
-
Dionaea’s [Dragon Beam] Attack: They’ve fine-tuned the attack hitbox for the Dionaea’s [Dragon Beam].
- Modular Synthesis Screen Display: Any modules equipped on weapons on the synthesis screen now show an [E] mark to make it clear they’re equipped.
They’ve also tweaked emote behaviors to make them easier to use. Looking ahead, more updates will introduce:
-
Japanese Name Input: You’ll soon be able to input names using Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.
-
Critical Multiplier for Mutated Weapons: The unintended critical multiplier effect will be corrected.
-
Damage Display for Defensive Boosters: A bug preventing the effect display for defensive boosters will be addressed.
-
Health Augmentation Fix: Effects of [Health Enhancement] augmentations were not applying correctly and will be fixed.
-
Audio Tweaks: They’re working on improving voice audibility in various scenarios.
- Crash and Freeze Fixes: Expect patches for crashing and freezing problems in certain situations.
And as always, a bunch of other bugs and specifications are on the developers’ radar for future fixes and adjustments.
