In the game Synth Beasts, you find yourself as a runaway experiment, a “Synth,” who breaks free from a lab on a mysterious island. As you venture through the surrounding archipelago, you come across other Synths. However, they’re not exactly welcoming, and you’ll need to defeat them to make them part of your team. Once you win a battle, you can play as these Synths, leveraging their unique abilities in both battles and exploration.
Imagine using these Synths in combat, where they gather experience points to level up. Each Synth boasts five levels of progression, each offering unique bonuses. As they rise in level, gaining more experience becomes harder. It’s essential to rotate your Synths frequently, maximizing your team’s potential and unveiling new abilities!
Take, for instance, the “Psitek” Synth. Right off the bat, it can light torches. By level three, it can even destroy projectiles with its fire slash—a handy trick for certain dungeons. However, most of its bonuses afterwards focus on combat improvement. So, it might be wise to switch things up and explore new abilities with another Synth, avoiding the higher experience demands!
Early in your adventure, you’ll grab hold of a boat formerly used by the scientists. The Genesis Archipelago is dotted with small islands, each hiding bonuses like extra hearts, stat-boosting goodies, and currency for your shopping needs. If you’re not one to explore every nook and cranny, feel free to jump straight to the main islands, confronting scientists and disrupting their dubious activities.
Contrary to just the main islands housing boss Synths, many optional islands play host as well. Capturing over 40 Synths is no simple task, but every corner of the Genesis Archipelago offers valuable rewards for those daring enough to find them.
