Nintendo has just unveiled an exciting new app for smart devices called Nintendo Today. Think of it as your personal daily planner with a fun twist.

Each day, this app brings you fresh content, including the most recent updates, videos, and comics featuring beloved Nintendo games and characters from select franchises.

Following this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday, April 2, dedicated to the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll be able to find all the details about this portable home console’s successor right on the app.

Shigeru Miyamoto shared, "Since its inception in 2011, Nintendo Direct has been your go-to source for getting the latest Nintendo news delivered straight to you. These presentations have blossomed into major events that attract a huge audience. We deeply appreciate your enthusiasm."

He continued, "While we will keep the tradition of Nintendo Direct going, we’re also introducing a brand new channel aimed at providing information directly to your fingertips. This is the purpose of our Nintendo Today app – a smart device application designed to function like a daily calendar. With it, you can explore various Nintendo events, with fresh content concerning Nintendo games and characters delivered to you daily."

"Post the April 2nd Nintendo Direct focused on the Nintendo Switch 2, expect to receive news updates about the Nintendo Switch 2 straight through the Nintendo Today app," he added.
