Rebellion is gearing up to launch its first-ever VR game from the Zombie Army series, set to unleash its cooperative campaign across all major VR headsets next month.
Scheduled for release on May 22nd, Zombie Army VR is coming to Quest 2 and newer versions, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets. In this thrilling addition to the franchise, you’ll join the ranks of the Deadhunters, an elite squad determined to put an end to the apocalypse of the undead.
“Navigate through the undead-infested ruins of Nuremberg to assist Captain Hermann Wolff, the illustrious leader of the Deadhunters, in reuniting with his lost family and working to liberate Europe from the clutches of the zombie apocalypse,” declares Rebellion.
Expect a “full-length, story-driven campaign” that’s playable solo or with a friend in two-player co-op. The game stays true to its World War II roots, featuring realistic armaments such as sniper rifles, submachine guns, and pistols, which you can dual-wield and manually operate.
As you battle through the game, you’ll have the opportunity to earn XP for leveling up your Deadhunter. Plus, you can use Weapon Upgrade kits to tweak your guns’ range, accuracy, scope, and capacity.
The enemy line-up is far from your typical Nazi zombies. Get ready to face formidable foes like Armored Giants, explosive Suiciders, stealthy Sniper Zombies, and more. Excitingly, the X-ray Kill Cam, a favorite from Sniper Elite VR, returns in Zombie Army VR, letting you savor those long-range kills in cinematic slow motion.
If you’re eager to dive into this zombie-blasting adventure, you can pre-order Zombie Army VR now on the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and above, the PlayStation Store for PSVR 2, and Steam for PC VR headsets. It’s currently offered at a 10% discount, bringing the price to just under its regular $30.
