Next month, Rocksteady Studio is set to wrap up its development work on the beleaguered game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
In a recent blog post, the studio revealed that they would no longer be releasing new content for the supervillain-themed game following Season 4 Episode 8, coming this January.
"As we conclude with Season 4 Episode 8, this will be the final seasonal episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League," Rocksteady stated.
They went on to explain that even though the last battle against Brainiac will mark the conclusion of new seasonal content, all online features will remain accessible. Players can still team up with friends in co-op mode, and all previous seasonal and episodic content will be available. Furthermore, the game will introduce an Offline mode, enabling players to access the main story campaign and all post-launch seasonal content without needing an internet connection.
Since its launch in January, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has faced mixed reviews and disappointing sales figures. According to its publisher, Warner Bros, the game did not meet the expectations they had set.
