Take-Two Commits to Supporting Nintendo Switch 2

In the realm of gaming news, Take-Two Interactive has hinted at plans to potentially support the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, though they’re keeping further details under wraps for now.

Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, shed some light on the company’s approach during the Q3 2025 earnings call. He highlighted the enduring partnership with Nintendo, saying, “Our track record with Nintendo is strong. We’ve always chosen platforms that align with each title’s audience. In the past, Nintendo consoles seemed more kid-focused, which influenced how we released games.” Now, however, with the versatile nature of the Switch and its anticipated successor, the Switch 2, the doors are open to a broader audience. He added, “Civilization VII’s availability on Switch is proof of that. While there’s nothing concrete to disclose right now, we’re inclined to support the Switch 2.”

Eager fans won’t have to wait too long for more updates on the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo plans to host a special presentation, the Nintendo Direct, at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST on Wednesday, April 2, where they promise to reveal more about the upcoming console.
